Big things are brewing at the workshop — literally. We’re thrilled to pull back the curtain and share a sneak peek at the making of our brand-new, show-stopping monster: the Giant Thunderclaw.
Towering, terrifying, and completely unforgettable, Thunderclaw is set to be the latest beast to join our Big Boy Props range — and he’s not just huge… he’s alive (almost).
From Concept to Creature: The Birth of Thunderclaw
The idea for Thunderclaw started as a sketch on a coffee-stained notepad — a hulking creature with jagged claws, glowing eyes, and the imposing presence of a nightmare made real. Our design team in the far east took that vision and began sculpting it to life, piece by monstrous piece.
Every inch of Thunderclaw is being hand-sculpted in the factory, with layers of foam, latex, and reinforced structure forming the frame of this towering animatronic. This isn’t just a prop — it’s a full-scale, cinematic-quality creature designed to dominate any space it inhabits.
The Build Process: Engineering the Beast
Over the past few weeks, our fabrication and animatronics teams have been hard at work:

Skeleton & Frame: A reinforced steel internal structure gives Thunderclaw his shape and strength — designed to support both his massive size and his mechanical movements.

Head & Arm Animation: Hydraulic and motorised joints allow for realistic, slow-turning head movements and arm swings that bring the creature to life with every twitch.

Custom Skin Work: His skin is being sculpted with intricate textures and hand-painted details – every claw, vein, and wrinkle adds to the eerie realism.

Breathing Smoke FX: One of our favourite features — a custom fog system hidden inside the chest gives Thunderclaw a smoke-breathing effect, as if fire is just one breath away.
Standing Tall – and Ready to Terrorise
Once complete, the Giant Thunderclaw will stand over 7 feet tall and be fully equipped with sound, lighting, and interactive movement. It’s designed to be the centerpiece of high-end Halloween events, horror attractions, film productions, and anywhere else that needs something seriously massive and seriously scary.
This isn’t a creature you walk past. It’s one you remember.
